Modern Classical. The second solo album of the Yekaterinburg-based musician Kein Z. Necro (SOL MORTUUS, CHURCH OF HOWLING DOG, CHAOTIC BOUND SYSTEMS, etc.) performed entirely on a grand piano. This is basically the continuation of the musical and visual aesthetic lines started on the disc "Tränen - Tau". Utterly abstract compositions with highly charged energy. We see menacing cumulus clouds on the cover, and there's reason for that – this music is just as monumental and amorphous at the same time, discharges of millions of volts are riping in its depths, sometimes it falls on the listener with a wall of chromatic rain, or it may shine as a ghostly black rainbow somewhere on the horizon of perception. Kein is not shy about pushing the extremes of the grand piano's sonic spectrum, hovering tightly on the lower register and tracing out stabbing sharp edges with high notes, but never slipping into frankly noisy cacophony. This kind of music can hardly be heard in a conservatory, and if you get the scores and practice at home, be sure to wait for the crazed neighbors to visit.
